Partnerships must comprise at least one early-stage private sector business and one non-governmental organization. Applicants must provide services or products in one of the following sub-sectors: climate-smart agriculture, food loss and waste, water resilience, zero emission mobility and renewable energy. Early-stage businesses focusing on climate mitigation are the focus of P4G partnerships. They are in either the seed or post-seed stage of their commercial growth. This means that they have a proven technology and are beyond the concept stage and are well on their journey to raise capital. They are typically post-revenue and pre-series A.
Partnerships can receive average grant funding of US $350,000 and technical assistance to help the early-stage business become investment ready. More details of the Call can be found here. Applicants must include a cost share of at least 30% of the total project budget in the form of either grants, operating capital or another monetary match that is not in-kind. Therefore, P4G grant funding will be 70% as a maximum.
